Shipping: How to Save Time and Money

Shipping is something that you will do a lot of when you have an eBay business.  In this video, Donna Boyer of cndfinds shares how she saves a ton of time and money on shipping.

General Shipping Tips

  1. Make sure that you are paid before you ship!
  2. Have all of your shipping supplies ready before you list an item.  Have the right sized box ready to go.
  3. Offer free shipping in your listing if you're able to do so.
  4. Use a postal scale (not a bathroom scale) to weigh items.

How to Save Money

  1. Use the free supplies that the Post Office offers.  You can order them online and have them shipped to your house for free.
  2. Purchase discounted shipping supplies from eBay

How to Save Time

  1. Print on shipping labels instead of paper that you tape to your packages
  2. Use pre-printed packing slips to thank your customer and let him or her know how to contact you if he or she is not 100% satisfied
  3. Have all of your supplies ready and organized
  4. Schedule a free pick-up from the post office through their mobile app so that you don't have to go to the Post Office
  5. If you are going to drop packages off at the Post Office, be sure to print your labels at home so you don't need to wait in line.
